Some nearby communities, including Wekiva, are working with The Natural Sweetwater Committee and Bear Warriors United to get bear resistant trash cans in as many homes in this area as possible.   

If you live in a nearby Seminole County community and are interested in purchasing a can, please fill out the survey below. This is not an order form-it is to gauge interest in buying one. The manufacturer’s bulk price to us will be $185 per can. You will be contacted in the next couple of weeks with more information and an official order form.

The manufacturer pricing does not include shipping, so to help make this happen, a Wekiva small business has teamed with the committee to raise money to cover the shipping costs of our upcoming bear proof garbage can order. You can help support these efforts and show off your bear pride by ordering some of the great items developed especially to help pay for the shipping portion of the order.  100% of the profit from the merchandise sold will go back to the bear proof trash can fund. Any order placed by 11:59PM on May 14th will include a free bear trash decal with your house number on it.
